Gerry Mitchell & Son, the village butcher
On Main Street under the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland sign. The window still says it plainly: quality, value, traceability — beef, lamb and pork from Ireland.
Gerry hangs his own beef and cuts to order. Son Cormac is in the shop too, with colleague John Synnott. Bridgestone Guide plaques from 2006 to 2010 sit on the wall. Their spiced beef took the national craft-butcher prize in 2023 and silver again in 2024.
Pop in for the Sunday roast, a tray of burgers, or a special order. Ring the shop if you want something held.
